Academic Encounters: Human Behavior is a high-intermediate to low-advanced text that uses a sustained-content approach to help students develop the reading, study, and writing skills they need to meet the demands of academic courses.    Study skills taught include summarizing, note-taking, highlighting key points, and test preparation.
   Students respond to the readings and incorporate what they have learned in writing assignments of different lengths.
