In a lecture to a group of physicians of sporting societies the Author presents the phenomenon of the family habit of sporting practice as the signo of the existence of a hereditary basis for sporting proficiency.

Referring to research by other Authors, and especially by Grebe, the Author relates the most significant case histories of family sporting practice afforded by Italian sports.

The hereditary transmission probably takes place through a mechanism of dominance; the Author suggests the method which can be employed in order to enact a genetical study of sports and of athletics.

RÉSUMÉ

Au cours d'une leçon donnée aux Médecins Sportifs, l'A. présente le phénomène de la familiarité de l'exercice sportif, comme l'index d'une base héréditaire des talents sportifs. En citant les recherches effectuées par d'autres AA. et plus particulièrement par Grebe, l'A. présente la plus significative casisti-que de familiarité dans l'exercice sportif offerte par le sport italien.

La transmission héréditaire se produit probablement par un mécanisme de dominance: l'A. indique la méthode qu'il y aurait lieu de suivre pour réaliser l'étude génétique du sport et de l'athlète.

ZUSAMMENFASSUNG

In einer Vorlesung für Sportärzte bezeichnet der Autor die Erscheinung sportlicher Betätigung in Familien als Index einer vererblichen Grundlage des sportlichen Talentes. Der Autor zitiert die Untersuchungen anderer Wissenschaftler und besonders die von Grebe und führt die bezeichnendste Kasuistik über Familienanlage der sportlichen Betätigung, die vom italienischen Sport geboten wird, an.

Die erbliche Übertragung geschieht wahrscheinlich durch einen dominanten Mechanismus; der Autor beschreibt die Methode, nach der das genetische Studium des Sports und des Athleten verwirklicht werden kann.

In una lezione ai Medici Sportivi l'A. presenta il fenomeno della famigliarità dell'esercizio sportivo come indice di un fondamento ereditario dei talenti sportivi. Citando le ricerche di altri AA. e specialmente di Grebe, l'A. presenta la più significativa casistica di famigliarità nell'esercizio sportivo offerta dallo sport italiano.

La trasmissione ereditaria avviene probabilmente con meccanismo di dominanza; l'A. prospetta il metodo che può essere seguito per realizzare lo studio genetico dello sport e dell'atleta.
