In the Trans. Am. Ent. Soc. I offered a revision of the species of this genus, in which I reduced the number of species to five; but, from recent experience, I am of the opinion that this number will have to be still further reduced. I have bred a moth that forms an intergrade between P. elegans and P. fusca, and have noticed no difference between the larvæ that produces geminata and albipunctata.
