17 Editor’s note: United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification in Those Countries Experiencing Serious Drought and/or Desertification, Particularly in Africa, signed in Paris on 14 October 1994 (drafted 17 June 1994), entered into force 26 December 1996. Canada ratified the convention on 1 December 1995, and issued its notification of withdrawal on 28 March 2013.
