page 201 note 1 Sheppard's arrangement is substantially the same as Jebb's, though his anxiety to get rid of the awkward alien apparently leads him to omit mention of him from (3).

page 203 note 1 Murray's suggestion ὐπεΞελῶν is presumably formed on analogy with the rare and usually late examples of ἀνελῶ διελῶ, and καθελῶ, cited in L.S.J. (cf. ἐλεỖ in some manuscripts of Ar. Lys. 542), and, though convenient, is not justifiable.
