Virtual Collection on Judicial Independence in Europe

In recent times, judicial independence has become a key concern for European constitutional law. As a reaction to challenges emerging in several countries, European courts and institutions have intervened in the debate, contributing to the development of common standards and mechanisms to protect judicial independence.  This collection features a series of articles and case notes on the theme of judicial independence, judicial accountability and the role of judges in society. EuConst welcomes further submissions on the topic.
