Abstract

Exposure of human leukocytes to 12 % and 6 % O2in vitro resulted in striking ultrastructural and morphological changes. These changes included the appearance of crater-like holes, a reduction in granular size and disruption of the cellular membrane. The implications of these findings is discussed.
