The Stratigraphical Range of the Foraminiferal Genus Orbulina D'Orbigny 1839

Abstract

This genus is not present in pre-Oligocene rocks and probably does not occur below the basal Miocene. Stratigraphical and micropalaeontological evidence is produced to support this statement.
