Abstract

The application of heterogeneous asymmetric catalysis to fine chemicals synthesis is discussed. The asymmetric synthesis of naproxen, a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug, using a novel, heterogeneous, chiral catalyst is used as an example to illustrate the feasibility to industrial application.
