Recent figures, published since our forecast was prepared, suggest that output was already running lower than we thought in the third quarter of this year. If this turns out to be the case and does not largely represent a bringing forward of destocking, then up to a percentage point might have to be subtracted from our forecasts for output in 1981 and 1982.
