* In the Index treaties are referred to according to the following rules:

a. Multilateral treaties appear under the entries: Agreement, Convention, Covenant, Protocol, Regulations, Treaty, etc. except treaties concluded between the ECSC, EEC and Benelux countries, and those concluded by the ECSC, EEC or Benelux with third countries. These appear under the entries ECSC, EEC, Benelux and the names of such third countries.

b. Bilateral treaties appear under the names of the Contracting Parties, except those included under the heading “Treaties and other international agreements to which the Netherlands is a party”, see supra pp. 363–338. These appear only under the name of the country with which the Netherlands has concluded the treaty.
