2 The two recordings of the Mass in D are by the Stuttgart Philharmonia Choir and Württemberg Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Helmut Wolf (Audite AUD97448, 1998) and the Plymouth Music Series Chorus and Orchestra conducted by Philip Brunelle (EMI Classics CDM 5674262, 2000, a re-release of the 1991 Virgin Classics recording). Even Smyth champion Odaline de la Martinez, born in Cuba and resident in the UK, is an American citizen.
