As well as commissioning short reviews of recent scores, the Score Reviews Editor will also consider the following contribution types, on a case-by-case basis:

● longer review articles, incorporating a particular theme or focus and recordings/weblinks where appropriate (the emphasis being determined by the item or items up for review);

● reviews that include dialogue between the reviewer and the editor—this could take the form of a brief interview, with Q&A between reviewer and editor, conducted e.g. on Zoom, and recorded for publication along with a written review;

● reviews that encompass scores with non-English prefaces, involving some translation and more explanation those for English editions.

If you would like to work in one of these alternative formats, please contact the Score Reviews Editor to discuss your proposal.
