An important problem in solar physics is the identification of the intense system of spectral lines lying between 170 Å and 220 Å. These lines have also been observed in the high temperature plasma, Zeta, and also in a number of other sources. These sources are reviewed and the experimental evidence relating to the problem of identification is discussed.
