Pete Seeger: American Favorite Ballads. 2009. Smithsonian Folkways SFW 40155. Performed by Pete Seeger. Compiled and annotated by Jeff Place and Guy Logsdon. 5 booklets with 34, 30, 26, 30, and 34 pp. of notes in English, respectively. 6 b/w photographs. Each booklet has its own bibliography, with 47, 48, 43, 65, and 81 items respectively (there is some overlap in their contents). Booklet 5 has an 11-item discography. 5 compact discs: 28 tracks (74:21), 27 tracks (74:32), 27 tracks (75:19), 28 tracks (72:39), 29 tracks (70:37). Songs recorded between 1950 and 1964 for the Folkways label, apparently in most cases by Moses Asch.
