The mission of the Society for the Study of Early China (SSEC) is to foster scholarly exchange and communication among all people interested in the culture and civilization of China from earliest times down through the end of the Han dynasty in 220 CE.
Active SSEC members have access to articles as they are published online throughout the year, and receive a printed copy of Early China in the Fall. Online access to the journal's archive is also available.
