Application exercises

A. Read or re-read the sample report and answer the following questions:

1. To what degree do you feel that all important topics were included in the sample report? What other topics would you have liked to see included?

2. What other topics should/could have been included? Why?

3. How well do you feel the sample report was organized?

4. Was the design of the project explained well? In other words, did you find enough information so that you could replicate the project in a similar manner at another institution?

5. Were the statistical analyses explained fully and clearly?

6. What is your overall opinion about the quality of the sample report? Would you recommend that others interested in Criterion-referenced assessment read it?

B. Using your answers to the above questions, write a critique of the sample report.

C. Write your own report of a Criterion-referenced assessment project, and critique it using the questions listed above.
