Polynomial Equations of Bicomplex Numbers

Abstract

In this paper, a polynomial of a bicomplex variable has been studied. Square roots for several quadratic equations using bicomplex variables have been obtained. Also, we have studied the nth root of unity in C_2. We have shown that all n^2nth roots of unity in C_2 form an abelian group. The number of distinct cyclic subgroups within an abelian group of the nth root of unity in C_2 has also been characterized.
