A critical incident approach to teacher continuous professional development

Abstract

How to make your continuous professional development (CPD) relevant by using critical incidents (CIs)? This talk will discuss the theoretical foundations of a CPD cycle, and explore how teachers' beliefs and judgements affect their CPD. I will describe what CIs are and how to identify them. Also, I will provide practical strategies to transform CIs into CPD opportunities.
