Matthew Dean

Matthew leads Assessment Design in Cambridge International Education’s Assessment Reform Group and works in partnership with ministries, exam boards, and education agencies to develop and deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessment solutions that support system-level reform.


 

Matthew Dean

He is an experienced assessment professional with over a decade of expertise in assessment reform, solution design, and large-scale system development. His work spans international development programmes, where he has supported governments and organisations to modernise assessment frameworks and strengthen the validity and fairness of their systems.

 

Matthew’s experience includes building sustainable, locally owned capability across assessment organisations, with a focus on strengthening design and production practices, enhancing quality assurance, and embedding robust processes that endure beyond individual projects.
