Assessment: Quality Assurance Services

Accreditation

Enhance the quality of your qualifications with accreditation from Cambridge. We will partner with you to design and implement quality assessment programmes that align with Cambridge’s accreditation requirements through a comprehensive review and quality assurance process. This includes the development and review of syllabuses and assessment materials, grading and standards setting, marking checks, printed materials verification, comparability studies, compliance monitoring, and capacity building.

At the end of each series, once you meet requirements, your students will receive a formal results certificate co-branded by your institution and Cambridge. This certification provides your students with a globally recognised credential.
Alternatively, instead of student certificates, we will issue a statement of attestation confirming that that your qualifications meet Cambridge’s rigorous accreditation standards.

In each case, we will include an explanatory statement where equivalency or alignment with Cambridge qualifications is applicable. We will also work with you to obtain recognition, where needed, improving the regional and wider credibility of your qualifications while strengthening students’ academic and career opportunities.

Endorsement

Demonstrating the strength and reliability of your assessment processes is key to building trust and credibility with your education stakeholders. We will work with you to continuously strengthen your assessment management capabilities through ongoing appraisal and audit of your processes. Our range of activities includes syllabus development, question paper review, marking process assistance, standard setting guidance, operational support, targeted training, and comparability studies. We will conduct a deep analysis in the first year, followed by annual sampling to ensure standards are maintained.

After each successful annual audit, we will issue a letter confirming that the processes governing the management of your qualification meet our quality standards. This letter recognises your capabilities and reassures stakeholders of your competence in managing assessments, reinforcing your reputation as a trusted awarding body.

Validation

Recognising both formal academic qualifications and non-academic activities is important in demonstrating the full breadth of students' achievements. We will partner with you to develop a comprehensive assessment programme that highlights your students’ preparedness for university, vocational pathways or employment. This award can include various qualifications, projects, work experience, community service, and other valuable activities that might not get recognition on their own.

As part of this programme, Cambridge will issue jointly branded programme certificates to confirm that students have met a holistic set of requirements, including formal qualifications and local enrichment activities. This certificate goes beyond the qualification, providing formal recognition of students’ broader achievements and the added value of their efforts. Together, we will create a holistic recognition programme that supports students' academic and career aspirations.
