Oya Dursun-Özkanca

Publishing my book, Turkey–West Relations: The Politics of Intra-alliance Opposition, was the first experience I had working with the Cambridge University Press. I have been continuously impressed by the professionalism that the whole team at CUP displayed from the manuscript submission process to production to marketing.

It has truly been a pleasure to work with my editor, Robert Dreesen, who has been supportive of my project from the very beginning. Following his advice, I organized a mini-book manuscript conference and invited the leading experts on the topic of my book to share their feedback with me, which ultimately made the analysis in my book manuscript stronger. My editor kept me informed about the review process and was very responsive to the questions I had about the process.

During the production stage of my manuscript, the content editor has been in regular touch with me informing me where we were at the production schedule. My experience with the marketing team has similarly been very positive. They have taken the time to send my book to various leading journals in my discipline to solicit reviews and promoted my book by taking it to the leading conferences in my discipline and submitting it to all relevant awards and prizes.

I am grateful to have the opportunity to publish my book with Cambridge University Press and strongly recommend prospective authors to consider submitting their book manuscripts to CUP!
