I commission and develop trade, academic, and reference works in US and Latin American history. I am passionate about bringing original, paradigm-shifting scholarship to as wide a readership as possible. I’m interested in work that explores diversity and equality, highlights underrepresented voices and stories, and challenges the traditional historiographical narrative. Particular areas of interest include African American history, women’s history, legal history, the history of sexuality, the history of slavery, Afro-Latin American history, military history, particularly the study of war and society, and the history of religion.
