Summary

In revolutionary Russia, antisemitism resurfaced even within those campaigns designed to combat it. Whenever Bolsheviks responded to antisemitism, they did so on a terrain fraught with great difficulty. Antisemitism at times overdetermined the revolutionary process, its entry points being multiple and often unpredictable. In their actions against antisemitism, Bolsheviks often found themselves reinscribing what they had set out to confront.
