Change and loss in a child's or young person's life either through death, divorce, separation or family strife is never an easy issue to discuss. Some aspects can be covered through the PSHE curriculum and it is worth looking at resources within the main toolkits there. Useful too are the book suggestions within the Reading Well Collection for Children (www.reading-well.org.uk/children) dealing with bereavement.
