Summary

In what follows, I summarize the ways in which three groups die in the wilderness as narrated in Numbers 11–25. These include the wilderness generation, the dissenters and idolaters, and the leaders Miriam and Aaron. In identifying the length of reports, I omit much of the narrative leading up to the death but rather focus exclusively on the immediate action and moment of death. I also note whether burial is mentioned.
