Summary

Comprehensive point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) frameworks are essential to ensure we are providing safe and consistent high-quality care to our patients. Currently, within POCUS programmes, emphasis is biased towards education and accreditation without adequate governance, infrastructure, administration and quality assurance processes. The factors discussed in this chapter are essential to consider when setting up your POCUS service.
