The Annales is the most widely distributed Francophone journal in the world, reaching over 3,000 academic institutions worldwide. The journal provides a unique platform for dialogue between the various social sciences, open to new fields of research, comparative history, cultural analysis, and epistemological reflection.

Every article published in the French edition of the Annales is translated and republished in an English edition one year later.
