1 Since the submission of the Goldenberg Report the Government of Ontario has amended the Wages Act to require every employer to furnish to each employee at the time wages are paid a detailed statement of hours worked, rate of wages, deductions, and amount of wage payment. The Minimum Wage Act of Ontario has also been amended and an order issued for the Toronto-Hamilton area, effective June 30, 1963, establishing a minimum wage of $1.25 per hour in construction, and in all other industries, $1.00 for male employees and 85¢ for female employees (rising in nine months to $1.00).
