Ontology and the foundations of evolutionary economic theory: on Dopfer and Potts' General Theory of Economic Evolution

Abstract:

This paper offers a critique of the ‘ontology of evolutionary realism’ proposed in Kurt Dopfer and Jason Potts’ recent General Theory of Economic Evolution, concentrating particularly on their treatment of social rules.
