Among the many valuable articles in the “Archives” there is a series of papers on Hysteria and Hypnotism by MM. Charcot and Richer. They describe at great length the signs and conditions of neuromuscular hyperexcitability. Some subjects are found to present the phenomena from the first time they are hypnotised. The greater number, however, require a certain period before the perceptibility is developed.
