1 Köroğlu's book is a revised version of his Ph.D. thesis which he submitted to the Atatürk Institute for Modern Turkish History at Boğaziçi University in 2003, and published shortly afterwards in Turkish as Türk Edebiyatı ve Birinci Dünya Savası (1914-1918): Propagandadan Milli Kimlik inşasına (İstanbul: İletişim, 2004)Google Scholar. The main text is to a large extent the same as the Turkish version. However, for those interested in literary details, it is advisable to consult the Turkish version.
