Malaria parasites of some Brazilian lizards

Extract

From lizards caught in the Codajaz region, Amazonas, Brazil, the following malaria parasites are described:

Plasmodium rhadinurum Thompson & Huff, 1944 from Iguana iguana L.

A species of Plasmodium from Ameiva ameiva L.

A species of Plasmodium from Cnemidophorus lemniscatus (Daudin).
