The Royal College of Psychiatrists publish three Open Access journals, which are freely available online:

BJPsych Bulletin is an open access journal that focuses on psychiatric service provision by dealing with clinical issues that affect everyday practice. Prominence is given to training in psychiatry and informed comment and debate on topical issues in current mental health practice. The journal is essential reading for anyone involved in mental healthcare provision or management.

BJPsych International provides an overview of current policy and practice in psychiatry in different countries around the world. Articles deal with the policy and promotion of mental health, the administration and management of mental health services, and worldwide training in psychiatry. Exploring the relationship between culture, mental health and psychiatry, BJPsych International will help all mental health professionals keep abreast of what is happening in the field elsewhere.

BJPsych Open is an online-only, open access journal for the publication of all methodologically sound research in psychiatry and disciplines related to mental health. Articles span all aspects of mental health and associated fields – from translational research to clinical research; from stigma and quality of life to caregiver burden and coping strategies for severe mental illness; and from treatment outcomes to healthcare economics, service delivery and national policy.
