Abstract

A method of mounting fly ash specimens for scanning electron microscopy is described that avoids almost all charging difficulties and permits imaging of close packed fields of representative particles. The procedure facilitates a true assessment of the kinds of particles present in that specific fly ash and their relative frequencies of occurrence.
