Summary
One of the remarkable Brontë sisters, Emily is known mainly for her only novel, Wuthering Heights (1847), but she wrote poems as well. Though in this one she despairs over attaining the “glorious gift” of poetry, some hints of the gift are here nonetheless, which might well have flourished had she lived longer.
