Adobe Air installation error message

"Sorry, an error has occurred. The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author"

If you encounter this error message, please follow the relevant instructions (for Windows PC or Mac) in the documents below. Click to download the guide applicable to your system settings.

As part of this process you must download an installer file to your desktop. The specific file is listed below under the relevant level.

(Please note that if you use a file which is not for the appropriate level then the installation will not work).

"Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported" error message

"Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported - The installer cannot run in this UI mode. To specify the interface mode, use the -i command-line option, followed by the UI mode identifier. The valid UI modes identifiers are GUI, Console, and Silent."

If you encounter this error message, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Right click the installer file
  2. Select Properties
  3. Click on the compatibility Tab
  4. Select the "Run this Program in Compatibility Mode for" tick box
  5. Choose Windows 7 (or an earlier operating system) from the drop down list
  6. Select "apply"
  7. Double-click your installer file

"No content" error message

"No content"

If you encounter this error message, please follow the instructions below:

  • When you receive the "no content" error message, select Browse
  • Use the Browse tool to navigate to the location in which you installed the content originally. By default this is: Programs x86 > Cambridge > Cambridge Content
