Fantastic material about electronics! You can learn many things about circuit design, how to choose components, how you should think about electronics etc. The chapters are well made and are very straightforward. You wont be bored with unnecessary physics and math. We did not prove it, because, in the spirit of this book, we dont prove anything we show you how to design circuits, instead.See all reviews

This is the best book on electronics ever written but you must get the 'student manual for the art of electronics' to accompany it - a series of experiments, fully worked through and written up by hand with beautiful diagrams. Every good engineer should be able to make sketches like that.

The Art of Electronics is my favourite book to read in my daily life it has endless knowledge about electronics. The book includes an intuitive understanding of the endless math found in electrical engineering textbooks. It is the perfect what they don't teach in school electronics book. I highly recommend it for any electrical engineering student or graduate for the transistor chapters alone. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is dated. However, for those interested in 1960s-1980s vintage analogue synthesisers, this turns out to be a plus.
