Summary

Joy is the first part of join

yet if the n snaps on too neatly

joy is soon (and so on) gone.

that same pesky n

unmakes the bed

so joy could bend

and entwine

till what's previous is precious

The tiny twin lines join and

the danger is anger (as always)

the d coming off

with a distinct tink

and circling back to GO

in the eternal search for God.

But even God doesn't last long

(all things are in flux), our protection

against flu the signature of an illiterate.

God reshuffles to dog. As we giggled

in 5th grade, joy and change

made school yard swings

of wings and sod.
