The coral reef inhabiting tubeworms from the Marshall Islands have been studied by few authors mainly by samplings in Enewetak Atoll. We report several new records of serpuline and spirorbine tubeworms from Enewetak Atoll as well as from Kwajalein, Utirik and Rongelap Atolls. Twenty-one species of Serpulinae and seven species of Spirorbinae are described and illustrated with line drawings, colour and/or scanning electron microscopy photographs. Neodexiospira turrita nom. nov. is proposed to replace Neodexiospira preacuta. Enewetak Atoll still represents the most species-rich atoll in the Marshall Islands but this is most likely the result of a greater sampling effort in this atoll for the last few decades.

We discuss the recent detection of a strong, organized magnetic field in the bright, broad-line B2V star, HD 142184, using the ESPaDOnS spectropolarimeter on the CFHT as part of the Magnetism in Massive Stars (MiMeS) survey. We find a rotational period of 0.50833 days, making it the fastest-rotating, non-degenerate magnetic star ever detected. Like the previous rapid-rotation record holder HR 7355 (also discovered by MiMeS: Oksala et al. 2010, Rivinius et al. 2010), this star shows emission line variability that is diagnostic of a structured magnetosphere.

We report on the detection of a strong, organized magnetic field in the helium-variable early B-type star HR 7355 using spectropolarimetric data obtained with ESPaDOnS on CFHT by the MiMeS large program. We also present results from new V-band differential photometry obtained with the CTIO 0.9m telescope. We investigate the longitudinal field, using a technique called Least-Squares Deconvolution (LSD), and the rotational period of HR 7355. These new observations strongly support the proposal that HR 7355 harbors a structured magnetosphere similar to that in the prototypical helium-strong star, σ Ori E.

Background
Violence is an uncommon but significant problem associated with schizophrenia
AimsTo compare antipsychotic medications in reducing violence among patients with schizophrenia over 6 months, identify prospective predictors of violence and examine the impact of medication adherence on reduced violence
MethodParticipants (n=1445) were randomly assigned to double-blinded treatment with one of five antipsychotic medications. Analyses are presented for the intention-to-treat sample and for patients completing 6 months on assigned medication
ResultsViolence declined from 16% to 9% in the retained sample and from 19% to 14% in the intention-to-treat sample. No difference by medication group was found, except that perphenazine showed greater violence reduction than quetiapine in the retained sample. Medication adherence reduced violence, but not in patients with a history of childhood antisocial conduct. Prospective predictors of violence included childhood conduct problems, substance use, victimisation, economic deprivation and living situation. Negative psychotic symptoms predicted lower violence
ConclusionsNewer antipsychotics did not reduce violence more than perphenazine. Effective antipsychotics are needed, but may not reduce violence unrelated to acute psychopathology

The properties of high frequency capillary waves generated by steep gravity waves on deep water have been measured with a high resolution laser optical slope gauge. The results have been compared with the steady theory of Longuet-Higgins (1963). Good qualitative agreement is obtained. However, the quantitative predictions of the capillary wave slopes cannot be verified by the data because the theory requires knowledge of an idealized quantity - the crest curvature of the gravity wave in the absence of surface tension - which cannot be measured experimentally.

Summary
INTRODUCTION
The fundamental purpose of copulation is sperm transfer. Additionally, however, animals in a wide range of taxa copulate outside the breeding period (reviewed in Bagemihl, 1999), suggesting that copulation is used for multiple purposes. In birds, there have long been reports of pairs copulating outside the female fertile period (Birkhead & Møller, 1992), and a social role for such behaviour, such as the appraisal and acquisition of mates, has been proposed (Colwell & Oring, 1989; Tortosa & Redondo, 1992; Heg et al., 1994). Because copulation requires physical contact it has been viewed as a form of tactile communication (Dewsbury, 1988). In monogamous white storks (Ciconia ciconia), which copulate at high rates but rarely perform extra-pair copulations (EPCs), it has been suggested that females use male copulation performance to appraise the balance, size, and body condition of prospective mates (Tortosa & Redondo, 1992). This hypothesis rests on the Prediction that copulation rate or other aspects of its performance by either sex reflects individual quality. Supporting this prediction is the finding in tree sparrows (Passer montanus) that within-pair copulation frequency covaried with female reproductive performance (Heeb, 2001). Another hypothesis is that copulation is used as a display by males or pairs to signal their possession of the territory (Strahl, 1988; Negro & Grande, 2001).
In monogamous species that share parental duties and form long-term pair bonds, mate choice can have major effects on fitness (Black, 1996). Monogamous pairs of black-legged kittiwakes (Rissa tridactyla) usually breed together in multiple years, but divorce is common after breeding failure, suggesting that mates switch in order to acquire better or more compatible partners (Coulson & Thomas, 1983).

Fasting plasma triglycerides and cholesterol, as well as cholesterol in very low density, low density and high density lipoproteins, were measured in 250 MZ and 264 DZ adult male twin pairs. A new method was used to choose an estimate of genetic variance. This includes an estimate of genetic variance for use when the total variances of MZ and DZ twins are unequal. DZ twins had greater total variance for cholesterol. When genetic variance was estimated by subtracting the within-MZ-sets mean square from the within-DZ-sets mean square, all of the lipids had significant estimates of genetic variance; however, when genetic variance was estimated by a method designed to correct bias due to unequal total variances of MZ and DZ twins, only triglycerides had significant genetic variance. The heritability of plasma triglycerides was calculated to be 0.68.
