Introduction
The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic generated the need to adapt patients’ access to health services, given the rapid and exponential increase in demand at all levels of care, making social distancing one of the few weapons available in this fight. In this scenario, telehealth proved to be a fundamental tool in tracking and guiding patients with suspected or confirmed disease. This work presents the demographic profile of the people attended, the most prevalent clinical situations in care and the clinical outcomes of the remote care.
MethodsThis was an observational, descriptive, cross-sectional, retrospective study carried out at Unimed Belo Horizonte, a medical work cooperative, from March 2020 to May 2021. We analyzed anonymized data on remote care from electronic medical records provided by the operator, with the remote contacts of these patients being spontaneous.
ResultsIn the period evaluated, 380,663 remote calls were made, with a monthly average of 36,888 calls. Of these visits, 59.5% were carried out by women and 40.5% by men. There were, 13,211 (3.5%) consultations with patients aged 0 to 9 years, 19,933 (5.2%) 10 to 19 years, 319,882 (84%) in people aged 20 to 59 years, and 27,633 (7.3%) aged 60 years or older. There were 64,348 (17%) consultations in patients with confirmed COVID-19 and 40,997 (11%) with suspected COVID-19. There were 194,746 (51.2%) consultations due to respiratory complaints and 14% of consultations due to other causes, but whose initial care was due to signs and symptoms suggestive of COVID-19. Of people assisted remotely, 29,734 (7.8%) attended the emergency room within 3 days, while 38,685 (10.2%) sought the emergency room within 14 days. There were 2,846 (0.7%) consultations in the emergency room that resulted in the hospitalization of patients.
ConclusionsTelehealth proved to be resolute and an important tool for accessing health services during the pandemic.

Introduction
Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and COVID-19 are at high risk of adverse outcomes due to the presence of comorbidities. However, it is still unclear whether dialysis therapy is associated with a worse prognosis in patients infected with SARS-CoV-2. The objectives were to assess mortality and risk factors associated with a worse prognosis of these patients (e.g., age, sex, comorbidities, Intensive Care Admission [ICU] admission, and need for invasive mechanical ventilation [IMV]).
MethodsAn observational, descriptive, retrospective study was conducted in the private healthcare maintenance organization (Unimed-BH) of Belo Horizonte and 33 surrounding cities in Brazil. We used data collected from the organization’s database. We included adult inpatients with CKD on previous dialysis therapy who tested positive for COVID-19, from February 2020 to June 2021.
ResultsDuring the period, 16182 patients were admitted to Unimed-BH with a diagnosis of COVID-19. Of these, 333 (2%) had dialysis CKD. Male patients were 180 (54%), age ranged from 22.85 to 95.75 years and the mean was 60.91 years. Of the 333 patients, 109 (32.7%) were admitted to the ICU, and 56 (16.8%) required IMV. Among the 14 comorbidities analysed, the mean number of comorbidities was 6, with 93 (27.9%) dyslipidaemia, 74 (22%) diabetic, 270 (81%) hypertensive, 25 (7.5%) asthmatic, 42 (12.6%) with chronic pulmonary disease (CPD) and 122 (36.6%) with congestive heart failure (CHF). There were 66 (19.8%) deaths, 29 (43.9%) were male, the mean age was 60.8 years, and 23 patients (34.8%) were elderly (>60 years). Among the patients who died, 55 (83.3%) were in the ICU and 46 (69.7%) on IMV. The mean number of comorbidities was 9.27 being 16 (24.2%) dyslipidaemia, 44 (66.6%) diabetic, 60 (90.9%) hypertensive, 5 (7%) asthmatic, 10 (15%) with CPD and 32 (48.5%) with CHF.
ConclusionsDialysis patients appear more susceptible to unfavourable outcomes than the general population. Our findings are similar to those reported in the world literature which is still scarce. It is important to conduct more studies on this population.

Introduction
Life expectancy is increasing worldwide. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, people 100 years or more (centenaries) were challenged by a potentially fatal disease. We evaluated the outcome of centenaries hospitalized due to COVID-19 in a private healthcare system of Belo Horizonte/Brazil (Unimed-BH).
MethodsAdministrative data were collected from the hospital database. Patients were included if they had a severe adult respiratory syndrome due to coronavirus type 2 (SARS-CoV-2) ribonucleic acid identified by quantitative real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) or by the International Code of Disease-10th review (ICD-10) hospitalization codes U07.1, B34.2, or B97.2.
ResultsFrom March 1 2020 to October 31 2021, 316.4 ± 12.9 centenaries/month were registered. Eighteen hospitalizations due to COVID-19 were identified. Median age was 101.8 years (inter-quartile range [IQR]:100.7,103.0). Most patients were female (83%). There was a median of 6.0 morbidities per patient (IQR:5.3,7.8), range 2-12 morbidities, among 71 possible morbidities. The most described morbidities were systemic arterial hypertension (94%), dementia (61%), and congestive heart failure (61%). Median length of hospitalization was 6.5 days (IQR:3.3,8.0). No patient was dialyzed. Seven (39%) patients died during hospitalization, of whom 3 (17%) were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and 2 (11%) were oxygenated by invasive mechanical ventilation. No other patients were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit or invasively mechanically ventilated.
ConclusionsAlthough the hospitalization rate was low, the mortality rate during hospitalization was high among centenaries. Further research is required to evaluate the actual risks of centenaries to be infected by SARS-CoV-2 and the subsequent outcomes.

This work is part of the interlaboratory collaboration to study the stability of organic solar cells containing PCDTBT polymer as a donor material. The varieties of the OPV devices with different device architectures, electrode materials, encapsulation, and device dimensions were prepared by seven research laboratories. Sets of identical devices were aged according to four different protocols: shelf lifetime, laboratory weathering under simulated illumination at ambient temperature, laboratory weathering under simulated illumination, and elevated temperature (65 °C) and daylight outdoor weathering under sunlight. The results generated in this study allow us to outline several general conclusions related to PCDTBT-based bulk heterojunction (BHJ) solar cells. The results herein reported can be considered as practical guidance for the realization of stabilization approaches in BHJ solar cells containing PCDTBT.
Spirocerca vulpis sp. nov. (Spiruridae: Spirocercidae): description of a new nematode species of the red fox, Vulpes vulpes (Carnivora: Canidae)

Previous studies have reported nematodes of the Spirocercidae family in the stomach nodules of red foxes (Vulpes vulpes) described as Spirocerca sp. or Spirocerca lupi (Rudolphi, 1819). We characterized spirurid worms collected from red foxes and compared them to S. lupi from domestic dogs by morphometric and phylogenetic analyses. Nematodes from red foxes differed from S. lupi by the presence of six triangular teeth-like buccal capsule structures, which are absent in the latter. Additionally, in female worms from red foxes, the distance of the vulva opening to the anterior end and the ratio of the glandular-to-muscular oesophagus lengths were larger than those of S. lupi (P < 0.006). In males, the lengths of the whole oesophagus and glandular part, the ratio of the glandular-to-muscular oesophagus and the comparison of the oesophagus to the total body length were smaller in S. lupi (all P < 0.044). Phylogenetic analyses revealed that S. lupi and the red foxes spirurid represent monophyletic sister groups with pairwise nucleotide distances of 9.2 and 0.2% in the cytochrome oxidase 1 and 18S genes, respectively. Based on these comparisons, the nematodes from red foxes were considered to belong to a separate species, for which the name Spirocerca vulpis sp. nov. is proposed.

Monoclonal antibodies have become an important treatment option for a number of serious conditions. Concerns have arisen about the potential association of these products with progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML). A list of monoclonal antibodies authorized for sale was derived from the Health Canada Drug Product Database. Case reports of PML after exposure to a monoclonal antibody authorized for use in Canada were retrieved by searching Canada Vigilance and WHO adverse event databases and through a Pub MED/Medline literature search. 182 adverse event case reports were retrieved (adalimumab -1 case, alemtuzumab-14, bevacizumab -3, cetuximab -1, efalizumab - 8, ibritumomab tiuxetan-5, infliximab-4, natalizumab-32, and rituximab-114). The Canadian Product Monographs for natalizumab and ritiximab contain box warnings for PML. A natalizumab registry has been established.
Trophic ecology of the zoanthid Palythoa caribaeorum (Cnidaria: Anthozoa) on tropical reefs

This study examined the trophic ecology of the zoanthid Palythoa caribaeorum in tropical reefs and evaluated its role in the energy flow in that ecosystem. Colonies of this species were sampled in the infralittoral zone of reefs in north-eastern Brazil in 2008. We calculated the richness, total abundance, relative abundance and frequency of occurrence of prey items. The biovolumes and weighted biovolumes of prey were calculated to characterize the most important food items in terms of their biomasses. To evaluate the selectivity, zoanthid and plankton samples were collected in 2010. Pennate diatoms were the most abundant and most frequent prey and, together with invertebrate eggs, constituted the most important food items in terms of their biomasses. There were no significant differences in abundance or richness among the different beaches studied, nor between the different seasons. The mean size of prey items within the polyps was significantly smaller than of the general plankton, indicating that P. caribaeorum selected for (or limited) certain prey sizes. This species predominantly fed on diatoms, and did not take advantage of many other prey items abundant in the plankton. Our results indicate that P. caribaeorum is suspensivorous and feeds principally on small phytoplankton. As this species is prey for benthic organisms such as polychaetes and nektonic organisms, our results indicate the importance of this zoanthid in tropical reef ecosystems as a primary consumer that serves as an energy transfer link between the planktonic environment and the nektonic and benthic spheres.

Summary
The leisure participation of older people has been an enduring research topic in gerontology, with current interest focused on the health and well-being benefits of leisure engagement as part of ‘active ageing’. This attention reflects growing epidemiological evidence on the positive impact of continuing participation in older age in activities such as hobbies, cultural pursuits and volunteerism (Schooler and Mulatu, 2001; Crowe et al, 2003; Verghese et al, 2003; Greaves and Farbus, 2006; Wang et al, 2006; Cohen et al, 2007; Chaves et al, 2009; Doyle et al, 2010; Heo et al, 2010). The role of leisure as a source of identity and creativity is also a related contemporary emphasis in ageing research that explores how leisure is used to maintain, develop or actualise valued aspects of the self (Fisher and Specht, 1999; Kim et al, 2002; Timmer et al, 2003; Reynolds, 2010).
Another nascent area of research, particularly in the field of leisure studies, is the potential of later life leisure participation as a means of creating social capital (McCormick and McGuire, 1996; Glover and Hemingway, 2005; Maynard and Kleiber, 2005; Son et al, 2010). Son et al's (2010) qualitative study of the Red Hat Society®, an international leisure club for women aged 50 and over ‘dedicated to fun and friendship’, exemplifies this theoretical approach to leisure. This research concluded that within the Society, opportunities for creating bonding capital are provided through local chapters in which members organise social activities and celebrations and provide mutual assistance, often offering both instrumental and emotional support to members experiencing difficulties such as health problems or bereavement. Bridging with the larger community is afforded through members’ engagement in volunteering and other civic activities on behalf of the Society. However, although demonstrable social benefits are generated for individual members and for the community through these uses of older women's leisure, the authors suggest the limits of social connectivity engendered by these activities due to the social homogeneity of the Society (ie predominantly white and middle class). In this way, the social capital perspective on leisure provides a means of examining the potential and bounds of connectivity to community produced through these pursuits.
In this chapter, we examine older people's connections to rural community life through their engagement in cultural and leisure activities, including participation in individual pastimes as well as collective pursuits as part of groups and associations.

Antenna on chip (AoC) and antenna in package (AiP) solutions for millimeter-wave (mmWave) applications and their characterization are presented in this paper. Antenna integration on low resistivity (LR) and high resistivity (HR) silicon substrate are expected. And, in a packaging approach, the combination of antenna on silicon with a material, which has the effect of a “lens”, allowing increasing gain is presented. In a second part, to satisfy beamforming capabilities, a hybrid integration of the antenna on silicon and glass substrates is proposed.

This paper describes the analysis and the design of an integrated antenna on 0.13 µm SiGe BICMOS technology. A non-resonant dipole antenna integrated on SiGe is electromagnetically coupled to a radiating element reported on a printed circuit board (PCB) substrate. This integrated solution, also compatible with system in package (SIP) concept, provides significant improvements with respect to direct System On Chip (SoC) integration. The main objective of this SIP antenna lies on the optimization of integrated millimeter wave front-ends modules, considering the immediate antenna environment (especially the lossy substrate and technological dielectric/metallic levels), in order to achieve performances compatible with short range radar specifications at 79–81 GHz. One solution, using a RT/Rogers Duroid 6006 PCB (er = 6, thickness h = 127 µm), is presented, providing a 2.93 dBi gain, and 45% radiation efficiency antenna.
