History

Steeped in Cambridge’s publishing and academic history, the Pitt Building was commissioned in honour of William Pitt the Younger, who, in 1783, became Britain’s youngest Prime Minister aged just 24. I'm writing to thank you for making our meeting last week such a resounding success. I had known from earlier events that the Pitt would potentially be a good place for such a large gathering, but the result went far beyond anything we had hoped for.

Our organisation prides itself on being friendly and approachable, and the Pitt facility was the perfect complement to that, with its central location making everyone feel really welcome to the University. The refurbishment is brilliant!
