Cambridge sponsors Lund University librarian to attend UKSG conference

Annika Nilsson, University of Lund Librarian

This past year in Academic publishing has seen a rising need for a change in attitude to accessibility, both from a student’s perspective but also from that of their institutions. This year UKSG was a different experience and owing to it being accessible online there will be people in attendance from a number of places around the globe who may have previously been unable to attend.

Annika works with education for students and researchers while also being responsible for the media selection at the Library. From this year, Library of Science has a new organisation and we are in a progressive phase of the library development. I can see in the program that many of the sessions are of direct interest for me to attend. Lund University has two facilities, MAX IV and ESS, that Library of Science has the responsibility for and since some parts of our library will physically move closer to the site of theses facilities I think this conference will give me inspiration to develop a modern library’
