MRS Communications Lecture Prize 2017

Sharon C. Glotzer, from the University of Michigan, has been awarded the 2017 MRS Communications Lecture Award.

The Award is in recognition of excellence in the field of materials research through the following work published in MRS Communications and is intended to honor the authors of an outstanding paper published in the journal during the award year.

The paper, which is now freely available, provides a brief review of the recent advances in assembly and reconfigurability of polymer-based nanostructures.

“We also highlight the role of computer simulation in discovering the fundamental principles of assembly science and providing critical design tools for assembly engineering of complex nanostructured materials.” Ryan L. Marson, Trung Dac Nguyen and Sharon C. Glotzer, Rational design of nanomaterials from assembly and reconfigurability of polymer-tethered nanoparticles  (Published July 23, 2015 – MRS Communications volume 5, issue 3)
