2019 Gordon E. Pike JMR Paper of the Year awarded

I am pleased to announce that the 2019 Gordon E. Pike JMR Paper of the Year, recognizing excellence in advancing materials knowledge through written scholarship, was recently awarded by the Materials Research Society (MRS).

Congratulations to Yongchao Liu, Mugilan Narayanasamy, Minjie Shi, Hanzhao Wu, Chao Yan, Cheng Yang, Wei Xie, Hua Hou and Zhanhu Guo for their article High-performance coaxial wire-shaped supercapacitors using ionogel electrolyte toward sustainable energy system.

The researchers from Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Changsha University of Science and Technology, North University of China and University of Tennessee, Knoxville published their paper in Journal of Materials Research in September 2019 as part of the JMR Focus Issue: Building Advanced Materials via Particle Aggregation and Molecular Self-Assembly.

This paper was honored for the development of high performance co-axial supercapacitors with a novel ionogel electrolyte for portable and wearable energy harvesting electronics.

The award will be presented at a forthcoming MRS event and the paper is freely available in perpetuity.
