ChemRxiv re-launched on Cambridge Open Engage

We are delighted to announce ChemRxiv has been re-launched on our early open research website Cambridge Open Engage today, Thursday 17th June 2021!

ChemRxiv is the premier preprint server for the chemical sciences. Designed to complement the high-quality content hosted by ChemRxiv, the new site will remain at chemrxiv.org, and offer all existing functionality as well as the additional benefits of:

  • An improved author dashboard where users can view the status of their content uploads, easily upload new versions of their preprints, and see their preprint stats at a glance;
  • Updated browsing and searching interfaces for finding relevant content, without having to log in;
  • Expanded policy pages and information.

The new platform uses ORCID, the unique identifier for researchers, for its login process. Starting from 17th June 2021, all authors submitting to ChemRxiv will need to have a valid ORCID identifier. All preprints submitted previously using an ORCID identifier will be matched and available on author dashboards when a user logs in. Existing ChemRxiv authors who do not currently have an ORCID identifier can sign up for one on the ORCID website. Registering is free and only takes a few moments.

Everyone on the ChemRxiv team is excited about the new, improved experience for ChemRxiv authors and readers, designed to complement the high-quality content, policies, and features that ChemRxiv offers today. This new partnership will help the organisations involved to accelerate the movement toward open research and provide crucial services through Cambridge Open Engage to meet the needs of the global chemistry community.

ChemRxiv will continue to be co-owned and co-managed by the following organizations:
