NEW to Cambridge in 2023: The Economic and Labour Relations Review

Cambridge University Press is delighted to announce that it has reached an agreement with the University of New South Wales, Australia (UNSW) to publish its journal, The Economic and Labour Relations Review (the ELRR). UNSW is a leading university in the Asia-Pacific and has a reputation for innovation and excellence in research and teaching.

Since its inception in 1990, the ELRR has published high-quality, impactful research in economics and labour relations in their social contexts. It encourages an inter-disciplinary approach to policy questions.

The journal publishes original research, overview articles, invited contributions such as obituaries and occasional articles, scholarship-based explorations and debates, and book reviews.

The Press will partner with UNSW to publish the ELRR from 2023.

Cambridge University Press HSS Publishing Director, Daniel Pearce, says: “ELRR has become an increasingly important platform for scholars wishing to make highly original and timely interventions into debates that help inform public policy in this critically important area. Their work aligns closely with the Press’s aims to deepen both international and interdisciplinary exchange, and it’s a privilege to have an opportunity to partner with the University of New South Wales in support of that joint ambition.”

ELRR’s editorial team says: “We are thrilled to be joining such a prestigious publishing house. We look forward to working with the Press to further strengthen the ELRR’s standing and reach. Our journal specialises in research applying heterodox economics and rights-, equality- and justice-based approaches to labour relations and other areas of social policy. We welcome inter-disciplinary work and encourage scholars from political science, sociology, law, history, workplace health and safety, psychology, economic geography and management to contribute.”

The ELRR receives financial and administrative support from the School of Business, UNSW Canberra and is housed within the UNSW Business School, Sydney.
