Cambridge University Press welcomes 12 new journals in 2018, including 1 brand new launch title, 2 open access titles, and 9 from new society partners. These new additions grow Cambridge’s journals publishing to more than 380 titles.

New Launches
Modern American History (MAH) showcases top-quality, emerging research on the history of the United States since the 1890s. Establishing a long-overdue meeting place for scholars and practitioners working in this vibrant and expansive field, MAH aims to stimulate debate, make meaningful connections between subspecialties, and advance understanding about an era of continuing impact. Readers can expect compelling, eloquent articles of lasting importance.
New Publishing Partnerships
From January 2018 The Royal College of Psychiatrists’s flagship title, The British Journal of Psychiatry (BJPsych), joins BJPsych Open, BJPsych Advances, BJPsych Bulletin and BJPsych International as part of Cambridge’s impressive psychiatry publishing programme.
The Royal College of Psychiatrists is the professional medical body responsible for supporting psychiatrists throughout their careers, from training through to retirement, and in setting and raising standards of psychiatry in the United Kingdom.
Mineralogical Magazine, which has published since the Society’s founding in 1876, and Clay Minerals, both join Cambridge’s Earth and Environmental Sciences programme, adding depth to an already leading list of titles.
The Mineralogical Society has the general object of advancing the knowledge of the science of mineralogy and its application to other subjects including crystallography, geochemistry, petrology, environmental science and economic geology.
From 2018 the Society of Legal Scholars and Cambridge University Press will work in partnership to publish Legal Studies, one of the foremost academic law journals.
The Society of Legal Scholars (SLS) is the learned society for those who teach law in a university or similar institution or who are otherwise engaged in legal scholarship. The SLS was founded in 1908 and is the oldest as well as the largest learned society in the field of law.
Latin American Politics and Society is the latest high-quality addition to Cambridge’s broad base of Political Science titles, and brings further depth to the range of titles focused on Latin America. Latin American Politics and Society is a Top 10 ranked journal in the Area Studies Journal Citation Report (Clarivate Analytics, 2017).
The University of Miami Institute for Advanced Study of the Americas brings together relevant scholarship, furthers policy dialogue, and builds strategic knowledge partnerships to address challenges faced by the Americas in the 21st century.
New Open Access Titles
Personality Neuroscience is a fully open access journal that aims to capture and define the growing study of personality neuroscience, and is the first journal of its kind to specialise in, and to seek out papers from, neuroscientists, with a focus on personality theory.
The research field of global sustainability science has expanded rapidly to explore human social and economic pressure on the whole Earth system. Global Sustainability will explore global sustainability, planetary and societal resilience, and solutions for societal transformations.
