Meet the Gut Microbiome Editorial Board: Andrea Azcarate-Peril
Welcome to the new blog post series introducing the Editorial Board Members of Gut Microbiome (GMB) – a new Open Access journal published in partnership with Cambridge University Press and the Nutrition Society.
First up we talk to Professor Andrea Azcarate-Peril, who is currently a Associate Professor of Medicine in the School of Medicine at UNC Chapel Hill. She is also the founding and current Director of the UNC Microbiome Core, which provides research and technical support to investigators interested in addressing the roles of the host-associated microbiota in health and disease.
