Benjamin Donn, a surveyor from Bideford in north Devon, drew a one-inch map of Devon in 1765 which sought to survey the county as accurately as possible. This attractive facsimile comes with an introduction which discusses Donn, his surveying techniques, and the features he noted on the map.
